It´s weakness is tension limits. This material is used for beams, lintels and floor supports. Also, stone is used in entublatures in greek temples but the weight creates problems of stability. The simplest and cheapest stonework is "rubble" and the strongest and most suitable stonework is "ashlar mansory".
